"The methodology and program delivered by Fierce Calm clearly fits into the concept of psychological and physical rehabilitation of amputees at our center - the largest rehabilitation centre in Ukraine. What I observe in patients who attended at least 3-5 classes is that sleep normalizes, pain symptoms decrease, the intensity of phantom pains decreases (and in some cases they disappear altogether), mood and a sense of wellbeing improves and a sense of trust and security is restored; patients learn self-regulation skills; For those who walk on crutches, "yoga breathing" is incredibly effective in helping patients focus and overcome anxiety and fear."

Our evidence based trauma informed protocols are now delivered by our qualified specialist team at UNBROKEN Ukrainian National Rehabilitation Centre in Lviv, where, servicemen and civilians, adults and children who have lost limbs, receive comprehensive qualified medical care.

Working within and under the supervision of the specialist psychiatric unit at Ukraine's leading mental health clinic for those impacted by the trauma of war, our mindfulness, breathe and movement protocols are incorporated within with physical, psychological and psychosocial rehabilitation program.

People receive all medical care free of charge. National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN | NEZLAMNI works on the basis of the First Medical Association of Lviv - the largest medical institution of Ukraine, which includes two adult hospitals and one children's hospital. The main purpose of which is to help those who suffered as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

We ally with the UNBROKEN mission: rescue, rehabilitate, prosthetics and reintegrate Ukrainians in Ukraine! The project is implemented by the First Medical Association of Lviv and the Lviv City Council with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Restoration of psychological health is an integral part of the treatment process.

The war caused psychological trauma to millions of Ukrainians. Anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorders, panic attacks are the results of our new reality and a huge challenge for the health care system. That is why psychological rehabilitation is one of the key directions of work of the Unbroken Center. Specialists of the Center provide comprehensive psychological assistance to military personnel, their family members, and civilians and children.

These are not only consultations and psychotherapy groups, but also various types of therapy: art therapy, Gestalt therapy, cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic and EMDR therapy, as well as body-oriented psychotherapy - alongside our evidence based yoga program.

Also, the Center's specialists work with victims of torture and people who have survived captivity

FIERCE CALM provides weekly Trauma Informed Yoga sessions and participates in psychosocial support events and excursions focusing on self regulation techniques incorporating breathing and mindfulness practices at LVIV HABILITATION CENTRE Ukraine's first Habilitation centre for people experiencing life changing injuries and acute trauma during the war. This new facility in Lviv is an initiative of the Alliance for Public Health in cooperation with the National Rehabilitation Center UNBROKEN.

“HAB | Lviv Habilitation Center” is a transitional barrier-free space that provides an opportunity to safely survive the experience of war in order to move on. Veterans and civilians who have already undergone physical rehabilitation at the UNBROKEN Center and need to adapt to new living conditions will learn new skills here.

The idea behind the center is the term “habilitation,” which is the basis of the name and means a combination of psychological assistance, group work, and self-study. With the help of coaches, psychologists, and rehabilitation specialists, veterans and civilians will spend three weeks learning to be autonomous in an inclusive space and beyond.
