Meet our latest ambassador @robynchilders đ
.
Like all of our ambassadors, Robyn has her #yogasavedmylife story
.
. "I awoke from a coma 16 years ago. Iâd been lying in an ICU for 4 days on a ventilator, lifeless, after an intentional drug overdose, meant to end my life...Doctors said they'd no explanationâthat, medically speaking, my survival didnât make sense. So, what if, maybe, just maybe, there was something more for me to do here?
.
This curiosity began to fan the flames of my recovery. And still does to this day. I found yoga and very slowly began to develop a practice đ
.
Yoga has truly saved me from myself. Through the practices of yoga & mediation, Iâm no longer a prisoner to my doubts, fears, cravings & aversions. One day, one breath at a time, make amends & BEGIN AGAIN
.
.
I became a #lululemon ambassador last year opened a donation-based studio @welcomehomeyoga . On the first night of teacher training, suffering from debilitating injuries related to a severe auto accident & horribly shell shocked from the recent suicide of my mother. I explained I wasn't sure why I felt yoga would save me, but had a powerful sense that it would. The teacher of the school listened, holding space for me. After a long pause, the teacher spoke "Welcome Home" .
And so, years later, what else could I call my own studio đ" says Robyn
. .
Impacted by the lockdown that has hit us all, @welcomehomeyoga goes live online tomorrow April 1st. But typically Robyn, a percentage of class fees will go to support frontline healthworkers in Detroit. Please support đ
.
.
Robyn told me their teacher likes to say, âYouâve received the gift of yoga. And now that youâve received it, it must be shared.â So, now we say to Robyn & anyone searching for this healing practice...WELCOME HOME đ
