Meet Lucy @reconnected.me sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words 💚

"About 2 years ago I walked into a wonderful studio in Sydney, not knowing that my life would change forever. My world has been turned upside down, inside out, sideways & back to front, in the best way!

Before yoga, I was immersed in the path of health and nutrition but began to question whether it was what I wanted to do with my life or if it was just a personal passion & lifestyle. I was confused, uncertain, unfulfilled and looking for answers. Then, at just the right time, life unexpectedly slapped me in the face, re-directing my purpose of how I can best be of service

.

It hasn’t been easy, especially during teacher training where many of my “not good enough” stories came up, challenging me to look at my “stuff”. This still happens now & then but I know it is a blessing in disguise 😊 .

Yoga has changed & saved my life. I truly wouldn’t know where I would be or what I would be doing without it

.

Yoga has shown me deeper places within myself that I forgot about, has assisted me to open my heart & continue to expand into the best expression of me

.

Yoga has introduced me to some of my favourite people, with whom I have formed such beautiful connections & shared wonderful experiences. It has brought amazing community into my life, allowing me to experience what it feels like to be part of a collective, greater than myself

.

Yoga allowed me to discover my love of facilitating women’s circles & strength in holding space

.

Within this yoga space I became fascinated by reconnecting with sound/music. The Native American Flute has become a devotional practice for me & is present in my Yin classes and women’s circles.

Yoga has held space for me to realise my higher purpose of service, to inspire & walk alongside others on this journey of remembering, through example, inquiry, experience, empowerment & love

.

When you drop the forward planning and allow life to unfold, you see that the most magical path is already laid out. Trust it, follow your heart, be curious, stay open, fall over lots, get back up, keep walking the path and enjoy it all 🙏 Lucy"
