"I suffered with panic attacks & anxiety, & I was looking for something calming for my mind & nourishing for my body
My yoga journey began as a challenge for myself.
I was deeply unsatisfied with my job & I felt like I just needed more out of life
.
.
I hadn't ever engaged in any physical activity regularly before, but one day I stumbled across videos of @lascimmiayoga on YouTube and I tried some classes of Vinyasa style. I was hooked. Every morning I woke up thinking about my practice
.
.
I couldn't stop trying postures and breathing techniques.
I soon realized that when I was on my mat I was focused and confident . My anxiety and panic attacks belonged to another person when I was practicing yoga. It was a process of discovery, of discovering a whole new me. I started studying the philosophy of yoga & I never stopped practicing
.
.
I moved from Italy to the USA where I'm now doing yoga teacher training, I have a blog and I am just determined to share my yoga love with everyone! .
.
The more I practice the more I realize that I am a new person, and I'm still growing
.
.
I still suffer from anxiety, but the difference is that now I have the tools to deal with it. I'm not Wonderwoman, but nothing is impossible. I am strong and my body and my mind are working together
.
.
I've learned to listen and respect my body's needs: so maybe one day I need Vinyasa, but maybe the day after I need a restorative practice. It's ok. I work everyday on my balance - both on and off the mat
.
.
Because of yoga I'm more friendly, more confident, more happy and I have the life that I've really chosen for myself: because yoga makes my life real, full of possibilities, balance, emotions, love and awarness! .
.
Yoga changed and saved my life 🙏 .
Namaste, Luana ❤
