"With Hodgkinâs Lymphoma, a Stage 2A âbulkyâ with a grapefruit size cancerous mass in my chest, I gravitated to the healing power of yoga"
.
"This lovely practice came into my life 5 years ago after ending my âcareerâ as a college dancer at Rutgers University. I wanted to keep my flexibility and stay in shape which is how the majority of people get into yoga to begin with
.
I fell completely in love with the way it made me FEEL. I couldnât get enough...started with home practice teaching myself through YouTube videos, then Bikram, then beach vinyasa flow while living in Hawaii
.
I gravitated to the healing power of yoga (mind, body, spirit) when I relapsed with Hodgkinâs Lymphoma Stage 2A âbulkyâ with a grapefruit size cancerous mass in my chest
.
Chemotherapy and radiation were necessary to save my life since I'd already dealt with the disease once before...but I give a lot of credit to yoga and meditation for saving ME when my anxiety was at an all time high
.
Yoga gives me peace.
Yoga gives me strength.
Yoga gives me acceptance.
Yoga gives me happiness.
Yoga gives me hope.
Yoga gives me love đ

In March this year I graduated from my yoga teacher training. I am beyond grateful for this journey to becoming a 200hr Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor . This has been a dream of mine for a few years and I am excited to say that it is now my reality. I have learned and grown so much. Thank you to the @honoryoganorthbrunswick, the amazing yoga teachers and TTâs who have inspired me to be who I am today. Hereâs to a lifetime more to learn and grow đ
