Meet Jules @yogaforthelads sharing his #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are his words 💚
.
"We deal with things in different ways and my story is no exception
.
"It's ok not to be ok"....
.
This is what a lady friend told to me after I had a panic attack
whilst driving my lorry on a busy motorway. It was a hot day in May
2017, the windows were down, the noise of the traffic was unsettling
me, with the windows up it was too hot and I couldn't get the a/c to a pleasant temperature and then the attack happened
.
My life was torn apart when I found out my 23 year marriage had suddenly ended. I hit rock bottom, I took this ladies advice and I visited my Dr. I was subscribed Citalopram to help me cope
.
I was off work for 5 months, I was a vacant man, no interest in anything or anyone. I took to trawling the internet for a solution because I didn't like being a nobody, worthless to anyone, I was very lonely
.
On Facebook an advert appeared for Yoga, a new class starting up near me. I messaged the lady and explained my situation. The last message she wrote was "I challenge you to try Yoga"
.
I went out of my comfort zone and attended. WOW!
.
Savasana made me cry. The teacher said "The thoughts you have are just clouds, acknowledge them and just watch those clouds blow by"
.
I cried, the pressure release was instant it was beautiful.
My life has been turned around by Yoga and especially by Rachael
@wellbeingwithrachael who has guided me through some real bad times
.
Since becoming single my diet has changed too, I am now vegetarian. Cooking is fun again and along with 80's music blaring away I'm one very happy man!
.
I've read so many stories on Fierce Calm & if I'm honest they bring me to tears. How people tell their life's journey is amazing & what's even more amazing is how people have turned themselves around .
The benefits of Yoga for mental health is truly amazing and I tell
this to everyone I know
.
I am now 9 weeks off tablets & my life is just full of hope. I love life!
