Meet Michelle Stinson @michelle_mybel kindly sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words ❤
.
.
"I was traveling a lot for work, and felt like I was going crazy with all of the irrational fears, intrusive thoughts and overthinking. I started to second guess my sanity
.
.
I read online that people who suffer from OCD usually find a little bit of peace in doing yoga
.
.
I felt like I needed a “mental health cocktail”: therapy, medicine, prayer, and yoga
.
.
My yoga practice really picked up when I joined a studio here in Atlanta @highlandyoga. I also like to move a lot, so the heated vinyasa flow was just what I needed. There were/are many times where I felt like I wouldn’t be able to clear my mind and focus, but doing yoga has made me feel able, strong, and mentally connected, even in times where I felt like I was still finding my genuine self.
.
.
My journey isn’t over; it’s just beginning! I’m going to D.C. this summer to get certified to teach yoga and this is probably the most confident that I’ve felt in a long while about any decision that I’ve made for my future
.
.
Doing yoga has also helped give me the courage to start a blog (@obsessiveyogi) and speak more about my OCD and try to let others know that whatever they’re dealing with, they’re not alone in their struggle, and to encourage them to do what makes their heart feel full ❤
.
.
Yoga saved my life 🙏
.
Namaste, Michelle ❤
