Before yoga I was in a bad place and I thought the way to happiness was to feel wanted and desired by others" Meet Genevieve, Vegan Yogini from Ottawa sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words ❤ "What made me go to my first class was a friend. I wasn’t drawn to it, I was simply looking for something new. I was following her steps. When I walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. No sound, but this odd sense of vibration that my body felt. I sat down, and as soon as the teacher started speaking in a low, calm, melodic tone, I fell in love. My mind was immediately as ease. I began to understand what it is to connect with yourself. I began my journey! 🙏 Before yoga, I was someone who followed others (cliche but true). I truly believed their interests were my own. I convinced myself that whatever they enjoyed, I had to enjoy. Manipulation was writing my book. I did terrible things to my body and to my soul. Yoga taught me that happiness & love lies within me, not within how others feel about me" Yoga made me realise that I need to be desired by MYSELF. I, myself, am the love I was seeking. It was inside of me all along, and this special idea, yoga, is still making it happen. Yoga never stops improving, and I will forever be grateful for that✨💜
