"As crazy as it sounds my love for Yoga has delivered me the love of my life"

Here's @laina_lovegrove_yoga with an update to her story she shared with us almost exactly a year ago when we first started! And what a beautiful way to start a New Year 🙏💚

. "The first time I ever stepped onto a yoga mat 10 yrs ago my teacher told me to keep an open mind. I couldn’t even touch my toes, couldn’t down dog without shaking. After 10 years hard work I’m now a yoga teacher

.

I'd just been made redundant from the advertising industry before that first class. Yoga gave me a purpose & a reason to get up in the morning. I practiced yoga while I was pregnant, up until the day I gave birth, did my yoga breathing throughout labour & didn’t need or have any pain relief, giving birth to healthy baby girl. I decided I wanted a better life for my family, didn’t want to be a mum that was stuck in the office 24/7 & miss precious time with my baby. I didn’t go back to being an Art Director, I retrained as a Personal Trainer & then a yoga teacher

Sadly when my marriage broke down after 9 years, I found that yoga was my escape & helped me believe in myself again: making me physically & mentally stronger

.

After over a year on my own , I entered into a new relationship, with a man I thought was a true gentleman, who treated me with kindness & respect. A year & a half into our relationship it came crashing down again. It had all been a lie: He had been unfaithful to me, constant lies & as a result got another woman pregnant

.

My yoga practice again gave me more focus than ever before & 9 months on has kept me sane

.

I started my Instagram account for my clients, but as happens, have other followers. One man messaged me asking for help with a backbend, I too was asking him with training tips, & to cut a very long love story short, he is now the love of my life, soul mate & moving back to the uk from New Zealand to start a new life with me & my daughter

11374 miles apart we found our love & each other through yoga. The first time we held each other, I felt complete

My journey has certainly been one crazy ride so far & I can’t wait to see where it leads my in 2019 💚 Laina"
